A Tale of Three Trees

The Text Tree

How one deciphers “Tree” in the written word.

First, nothing can even be deciphered without adequate contrast. This conversion of opposites is an integral part of determining the value of the text symbol of ‘Tree’

Secondly, text is a bit far removed from the visual foundational element of the alphabet. It depends mostly on the framework of the prevalent culture in which it is witnessed. Or by the learned behaviour(?) of whom witnessed it.

Value is deduced by learned(stored) information and cannot be deciphered without understanding that system. It must also be understood that that system has no choice but to empower the system that created it or serves it, as the medium of the written word is also itself a reflection of the needs of the society that wields it.

The Visual Tree

This could simply be the image of a tree. In the day to day world usually witnessed in a variety of contexts.

When determining the value of the tree in this case we take into account other aspects of visual context. Where is the tree located in the picture? How is it framed? What are its surroundings? How was the image created? Stylistic drawing? Painting? Or photograph?

What we conclude would be based on information both learned/experienced and perceived. Ability to conclude value not 100% contingent on learning and dissecting/decoding a learned system.

Although it must also be enunciated that any sort of knowledge(especially about trees) attained grants the capacity for even further understanding of the tree within the image.

For example an art historian may be able to tell you more based on the style in which the image is created. A botanist or arbologis(tree scientist? Gotta double check that ) could tell you more based on the tree itself or the tree it depicts. And someone else with more knowledge of the surroundings providing context for the tree could maybe even tell you something more based on that fact.

The Audio Tree

How to deduce the value of the tree audio.

(fun fact: It’s actually hard to focus because Top Billing keeps playing in my head and everytime Wiz says “Audio Two” I hear “Audio Three”)

Reerberations and reflections play a huge part in the audio realm. Actions create sound and that sound bounces off its surrounding melds, or is completely absorbed.

Sounds of the environment heard through the “lens” of leaves lightly rusted by soft winds. Depending on one’s location and relation around the tree valve is determined by relations to surrounding sounds. One with more experience could even tell what kind of tree it is based on the rustle. Like are the leaves larger, smaller, needles and/or cones?

Style of the branches and maybe even how they creak letting you know how big they are or what kind of wood it is.

The nature of sound can seem to float in a sea of white noise as all sounds blend together, but just as well one with a learned experience can decipher the composing fractions of that sea.
